Sharon Vaught

I have been a practicing Witch, teacher of the Craft, Storyteller and a Priestess of Goddess Mysteries for over forty years and this journey is ever evolving and changing as I am. I'm Reiki Master with a great love for nature which I believe is the greatest of all teachers. I teach my students that the greatest tool that they have is intention and a clear heart, and that before they can begin to practice magic, they most first know themselves and ask themselves what is the motivation for starting this journey.  This knowledge is the gateway to the deepest mysteries and magic.  Students have heard me make this statement over and over 'I don't care how you climb the mountain as long as you climb' and in my humble opinion no one path has a patent on the truth. The men and women I work with teach me humility and love everyday.

I'm a poet and artist, excellent chef, I have a wicked sense of humor, have been accused of being `way too logical' (must be the Taurus Moon) I always try to see the "big picture". I'm a retired political activist and a recovering corporate babe. I love to garden, and have grown as many as forty-seven herbs and flowers for magic and healing, and still take care of a small crop. I've been a kitchen witch and still love to dabble, but my path has taken me in a different direction, teaching.

To pigeonhole my magical path would be at best ridiculous. I started Christian as a lot of us did, and studied world religions, Buddhism, Hinduism, Judaism, Sufi, as well as Yoga and Transcendental Meditation.  I received the Cherokee Rights of Passage from the elders and am proud of my Native American Heritage.  I have been honored to study with some of the great teachers; Starhawk, Donna Henes, Alyssa Starkweather, Marie Summerwood, Serpentessa, Pat Telesco, Elizabeth Nahamn, Francena Marie Hancock, Alessandra Belloni, Cristina Biaggi and many more teachers from different paths.

I teach and lead ritual at Womongathering, The New Age Shop and my home all in the Allentown area.  I have taught at Soaring Spirits Festival, Mystical Thymes, Spirit Song and Pebble Hill Church.

My approach to teaching is quite unique and is really about changing your life through a deep love of nature, the elements and spiritual growth.  Because real growth is about balance I ask all my students to evaluate their lives each and every day.  This is not an easy journey, but rather one that is filled with challenges and that is what makes it worthwhile.  I have been known to turn away students that are not ready for the surrender and humility that is necessary for this work; for this I make no apologies.

I offer Witchcraft #101 and #102 because we all need the basics to begin with. I also teach the individual elements, spiritual evaluation, meditation, past life work, ritual design and practice, animal wisdom, the Gods and Goddesses as well as the different Wiccan paths.  I also offer a Priest/Priestess Path class for advanced students as well as many other specialized classes for continuing study.

I also offer Reiki healing, spiritual counseling, life coaching, private lessons and intuitive readings.
